The following is a list of all the projects &/or challenges I am working on for 2007 and on.
I started this project before I thought about the rules. I know of someone who is working on every book mentioned and personally, I think that’s crazy because Nancy will say, “every single thing written by So and So it worth reading, but start with this one.” To me, that means reading every book So and So even though only one will be in the index. I’m sticking with the index.
So far, I have read 283.
Flower Room
I had a dream about a room that took my breath away and I want to see if I can recreate it. How to describe it? It’s a white-white room with black curtains that hang to the floor. Gauzy and flowy, not heavy. The room itself is sparsely decorated with the exception of photos of flowers all the way around the room – probably 5 1/2′ feet from the floor. Every photo is a 5×7, framed in black, and of a single bloom of a single color and fills the entire frame. Red rose. Orange tigerlily. Yellow daffodil. Green cone flowers. Blue bells. Purple iris. White lilac. Shades of color in between…The idea is a rainbow spectrum of color that stretches across the room. My mind’s eye has the perfect view. Update: we are in the process of finding a house (after years of renting) so this is on hold…
Knit Nut
I started knitting a blanket on my honeymoon with yarn bought from every town we stayed in (we had a romantic tour of B & Bs in northern New England). I’ve ripped it apart a few times and it’s time to snuggle under it. Update: I have started a new pattern!
Rock and Roll Quilt
When a friend of a friend passed away we took all his t-shirts and made a quilt. 17 is too young to die. I’m making a quilt for my husband to say goodbye to a ThatWasThen life. A death of a different sort. Rock and roll will never die.
Memoir Cookbook
I think sights, sounds and smells are all evocative of different times in our lives. A certain smell will waft in the air and it will make us think of grandma’s cookies. My husband has a thing for rissotto because of Irene. A certain song will come on the radio and it will take us back to parachute pants and poprocks. My whole life is wrapped up in recipes. From the time I was old enough to stand at the kitchen counter my mother had me helping her. I have a recipe from almost every chapter in my life and I want to write it all down. Call it vanity press, but I want to write a cookbook for me, myself & moi.

I loved college a little to much and adored grad school. I just got over my fear of dogs. I do not like to cook! but love to eat. I love the feeling of running but I hardly ever do it. I love the feel of your website.
